2019

It’s hard to believe February has already arrived, but as I write this it is February 2nd 2019. Times flies when you are working hard and that is exactly what we are doing.

We’ve got plenty planned for 2019 and a few changes are on the way.

Daphne's Tea Room

You may have already heard that we are renaming and rebranding our Tea Room…

We are proud to unveil Daphne’s Tea Room named after our beloved Mum, Grandma and owner of Rutland Farm Park, Daphne Ball.

Along with the new name and branding we’ll be launching a new menu and a new website for the Tea Room.

We can’t wait to share this with you and we will be doing so for February Half Term.

Events

We have a number of events planned for this year, starting with February Half Term.

Join us from 19th – 22nd when we’ll have the rabbits and guinea pigs out for cuddles, arts and crafts, and bird feeding in the bird enclosure. Keep an eye on our Facebook event page for updates.

This is just the start and to keep up to date with all our events we’ll be launching an events calendar here on the website. We will have all of our planned events for 2019 including the big one…

Charity Fun Day!

Sunday 15th September 2019

This will be our 4th Annual Charity Fun Day and we’ll be announcing soon who we are raising money for. We’re incredibly excited and think you will be too!

Improvements

We are a working farm and you will most likely have seen staff driving farm vehicles around the farm and around Oakham. We are also a small team and we know that we’ve got a little bit behind on some jobs so we’ve taken the opportunity to resolve this by closing for two days last week and we’ll be doing the same next week.

One major improvement is on target for this Spring and that is the reopening of our Woodland area – stay tuned for updates!

A BIG Thank You!

Finally we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone to supports us. We wouldn’t be here without our supporters, visitors and dedicated volunteers and we can’t thank you enough.

A special thanks must go to Steve Smith, who goes above and beyond anything we could have asked for. Without him and all of our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

2019 is going to be a busy but exciting year. Stayed tuned!
